Role Summary

• Execute daily social promotion for WSJ Opinion content
• Use data insights to optimize audience growth and engagement
• Collaborate with Managing Editor, writers, and audience teams
• Support distribution across social, email, and emerging platforms

What You Will Do

• Manage and optimize social media posts and story packages
• Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports
• Assist with paid promotion and audience expansion strategies
• Produce and manage Opinion newsletters and Substack distribution
• Coordinate with editors to maintain high editorial standards

Required Background

• 2–4 years experience in social media at a news or digital organization
• Strong analytical mindset with data validation skills
• Excellent writing and editorial judgment
• Understanding of social platforms and referral traffic drivers
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools

Preferred Advantage

• Experience with SEO and tools like Adobe Analytics, Parse.ly, or Google Analytics
• Knowledge of social tools such as Social Flow, Later, or Sprout
• Interest in audience engagement and community growth
• Basic video, design, or multimedia skills (plus)
