About the Position
Bright Vision Technologies is looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer.
The position is focused on software development and test automation. The engineer will build automation frameworks and write high-quality test code.
The role also includes testing strategy, CI/CD automation, performance testing, security testing, debugging, and quality improvement across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable test automation frameworks.
- Support web application testing.
- Support API testing.
- Support mobile application testing.
- Support microservice testing.
- Write production-quality automated test code.
- Use Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Work with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or Pact.
- Implement contract testing.
- Validate service contracts in microservice environments.
- Build CI/CD test pipelines.
- Integrate testing with Jenkins.
- Work with GitHub Actions.
- Work with GitLab CI.
- Work with Azure DevOps.
- Develop performance test suites.
- Use JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
- Create realistic load models.
- Analyze performance test results.
- Apply security testing practices.
- Support dependency scanning.
- Support SAST and DAST testing.
- Apply OWASP-based security checks.
- Lead test strategy discussions.
- Support risk-based testing.
- Support exploratory testing.
- Apply shift-left testing practices.
- Work with developers and product owners.
- Work with architects and other technical teams.
- Identify quality risks early.
- Perform root-cause analysis for production incidents.
- Turn production findings into automated regression tests.
- Improve test coverage.
- Improve test reliability.
- Reduce time-to-feedback.
- Mentor junior QA engineers.
- Maintain test documentation.
- Maintain testing traceability.
- Maintain reporting dashboards.
- Contribute to internal testing tools.
- Build reusable testing libraries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of SDET or test-focused software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with a major UI automation framework.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience automating REST APIs and/or gRPC APIs.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with database validation.
- Strong understanding of microservices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems.
- Knowledge of modern web architectures.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Pact.
- Experience with Spring Cloud Contract.
- Performance testing experience with JMeter.
- Experience with Gatling, k6, or Locust.
- Exposure to OWASP ZAP.
- Exposure to Burp Suite.
- Exposure to Snyk.
- Familiarity with chaos engineering.
- Experience with resilience testing.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification.
