Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities ensuring timely and accurate reporting

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules in compliance with GAAP and statutory standards

• Maintain SOX compliance and strong internal financial controls

• Deliver variance analysis and written financial reporting insights

• Support audits, tax reporting, and subsidiary investment accounting

Accounting & Technical Duties:

• Prepare investment-in-subsidiary and tax provision journal entries

• Complete trial balance reporting and reconcile to PeopleSoft

• Perform equity reconciliations and year-end tax rollovers

• Prepare Board slides, GAAP Versant TPA reports, and cash flow summaries

• Manage revenue-by-state allocations, OH CAT, WA B&O tax allocations, and support PWC SALT/federal tax requests

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience (public or corporate)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Strong multitasking and deadline management skills

• Excellent communication and independent judgment

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification

• Health insurance industry experience

• Experience with NetSuite
